At over 2,200 meters, the region of Da Yu Lin is the highest in elevation in all of Taiwan. The tea farming area in Da Yu Lin is decreasing each year, making this tea exceedingly rare. Oolong tea connoisseurs treasure the unique floral aromatics that are distinctive in Da Yu Lin teas. This selection from the winter harvest offers a bright and floral pale yellow infusion with aromas of sweet freesia blossoms, fresh cut evergreen, and hints of pomelo and longyan. Gao Shan Cha is produced in two harvest seasons. The winter harvest is celebrated for having a delicate body with unique aromatic performance emphasizing essential oils. The spring harvest delivers a more balanced body with hydrosol-based aromas. In either season, we select just one or two spectacular micro-lots that demonstrate the most vibrant aromatic complexity for traditional enjoyment.
