Silver Needle (or Bai Hao Yin Zhen) is one of the most revered of Chinese teas, produced in the Fuding and Zhenhe districts of its Fujian province. Gathered only for a few days in early spring, the dedication to perfection is evident in the pale, ivory colored liquor. The lingering fragrance of our Silver Needle is delicately honeysuckle floral, with a warmed sugar sweetness and a subtle hint of white grapes. Silver Needle feels refreshing, soft and airy on the palate. This is a high grade Bai Hao version of this exquisite tea, perfect to enjoy in multiple infusions. Steep at 180°F for 3-5 minutes

This is the first time I've tried silver needle without jasmine. The leaves were mostly broken in my packet. 3 min @ 160 produced a very light liquor that was clean and pleasant tasting. Second steep 3 min @ 180 had darker color and stronger flavor. No bitterness, grassiness, or astringency to me. I enjoyed the silver needle, however I missed my jasmine aroma and flavor.

Normally white teas are just too light for me, but I enjoy this one. Just a nice, light, sweet cup of tea. I also like blending silver needle with black teas or oolongs to calm / sweeten them a bit. :)

An unexpected and excellent tea. I do love the fuzzy leaves and sweet, honey suckle scent. Quite smooth, and a bit on the full-bodied side.

So many people rave about the flavor of this tea, but I just didn’t taste any honeysuckle or white grape notes. To me, it wasn’t sublime, but just an inoffensive very mild tea. I steeped four times at 175 degrees for 3 minutes and added no sugar.

Nothing beats an elegant, pure tea. Light and floral, silver needle is reminiscent of honeysuckle and early spring mornings that are still crisp with the chill of dew on the ground. It has a gentle sweetness all its own and needs nothing added to enhance the delicate flavors.

This is a delicious, delicate, fragrant tea that is floral with a light, fresh hay flavor. It is to be savored and drank slowly while inhaling the gentle steam rising from your cup. This nectar is pricey, but I'm going to get a small bag of it for a special treat now and then! Instant relaxation in a mug. :)

This tea is so smooth and delicious. I have been trying to drink more green and white teas so this is definitely a new go-to for me. I wish I had ordered it in loose leaf instead of the pyramids as I hate the wasteful packaging.

This is an elegant, simple tea. The flavor is light, but so delicious. As far as white teas goes, it is one of the best. I drank it in the summer, so the second brew I poured over ice for a lovely ice tea. I added 1/2 teaspoon of stevia sweetener both times, and enjoyed it greatly.
