Ti Kuan Yin (also spelled Tieguanyin) is a legendary oolong tea from the Fujian province in China. It is one of China's most beloved oolongs and is extremely time-consuming to produce (well over a dozen distinct steps in the processing are observed). Our fine version of Ti Kuan Yin produces a cup that is warm, soft and soothingly mineral in texture. Notes of toasted walnut and tender collard greens. Intriguing lingering floral aroma, lightly orchid and gentle astringency. A meditative cup. Steep at 195°F for 2-3 minutes

A light and smooth oolong with a hint of vegetal and floral flavor. I was able to get multiple steeps drinking this gong-fu style.

It seems like there is a lot of tea in my packet today so I only steeped half since the leaves will open up exponentially. 2 min @ 165. Nice clear pale green liquor. Delicious light flavor, the barest hint of floral aroma, very smooth. I still don't know what "mineral" taste is, my palate is underdeveloped. I will happily resteeps all day as I enjoy green Oolong. Cheers!

Brewed tea definitely has a light floral scent with a light vegetal quality. Not grassy just lightly herbal. Unfurls beautifully while brewing. Taste is floral with just a hint of sweetness. Really good!!

This is one of my favorite teas when I want to sit and really sip and considered the layered flavors. It is flower and lightly astringent. It is something that you just got to try. Each infusion also brings out different layers, and that is something I really enjoy in my tea experience.

Not getting all the hype on this one. It's OK. But on the weak side. Light, mineral, I agree with the people who said it's more like a white tea. (180/3 min., 2 steeps)

This tea is both smooth and buttery as well as sweet and floral. While it's not my favorite oolong, it's quite enjoyable. It's a departure from the oolongs I typically love but it's still a good cup of tea.

It was pretty amazing how much these leaves expanded! I brewed mine at a lower temperature than recommend (190F), but the tea still tasted really good. The tea also had a strong floral scent ( but no floral flavor).

This is simultaneously floral and vegetal, but neither of those profiles is overwhelming and the taste overall was mild. I do not usually go for the green, brothy teas, but this one was not strong enough to turn me off of it. A little of this tea goes a long way since the leaves unfurl to be rather large. One serving does at least three good steeps.

How do you rate a tea that stands up to multiple infusions and tastes different with every steep? This green oolong steeps to a light greenish-yellow and has a lovely, smooth flavor that is gentle and delicate. Depending on the steep, it's flavor profile is vegetal, floral, nutty, or buttery. The first steep needs an extra minute to allow the tea leaves to unfurl. Watching this process adds to the tea experience. The tea is good unsweetened or with a drop of honey.
Steeped 5x at 190°F for 2 minutes. (Add 1 minute to first steep.)

hen hot this tea had a strong vegetal flavor. Once I let it cool down it picked up more of a light floral tone, which I preferred. The subsequent 2 steeps were more mild from the start and transitioned the light floral quicker.
Pleasant and mild.
Steeped 3x, (1) 190F 3min, (2-3) 2.5min

This is clearly a high quality tea, and I do enjoy the green-esque oolongs from Agadio - they are always great! This one is good too but has a very slight plasticky/chemically aftertaste to me, as well as what I can only describe as a slight BO smell to it -- on the first steep. Those issues disappeared on the second and third steeps though. This is a little light for my taste, not as robust or full bodied as some of the greens and other oolongs. It's good, though I probably wouldn't buy a whole bag of it. There are other oolongs I like better.

Really delicious oolong. Lightly floral with a soft, full mouthfeel and a light mineral taste. Not grassy at all. Slight astringency at the finish making it a clean and refreshing cup. Holds up exceptionally to multiple infusions.
