From the north in China's Fujian province comes Golden Monkey Tea. Golden Monkey Tea has large black leaves with gold woven in. It produces a 'round' cup of tea with a nice level of complexity . Dry Leaves: Long, slender black leaves. Some of the leaves have golden tips. Liquor: Light pecan brown. Aroma: Lightly sweet, hints of apricot and nut, with hints of rose. Maybe even some cocoa notes. Caffeine Level: Caffeinated Body: This a medium bodied black tea. Flavors: A blend of cooked stone fruit such as baked apricots and the dry, but slight sugariness of semisweet chocolate. A mellow, nutty finish of roasted pecans. Brewing Time: 4 to 5 minutes Brewing Temperature: 212° F
