We order up this tea from the best garden in Assam: Dikom. It is difficult and expensive to make a tea that has golden buds, but it is worth the effort. It is truly a joy to behold and we enjoy its light body and whiffs of honey. Dry Leaves: All golden tips, about 1/2 an inch long. They are coated in a fine, golden downy powder. Liquor: Reddish peach. Aroma: Since it is only the immature tips, the aromas are light and subtle and are of honey & roasted malt. Caffeine Level: Caffeinated Body: This is a light bodied black tea. There are no older leaves to add heft. Flavors: Golden Tips Assam's flavors are caramel-buttery, with slight malt notes, and hints of tropical fruit: papaya and mango. There are none of the darker roasted flavors found in other Assams. Brewing Time: 4 to 5 minutes Brewing Temperature: 212° F
