rose petal black (6 reviews)
price level: $$$$
Blended in late summer when the roses are in full bloom and at their most fragrant, Rose Petal Black, also known as ‘Meigui Hong Cha’, combines rich Keemun tea and red rose petals. Keemun is a small leaf tea from the Qimen county of Anhui province, best known as the main ingredient for English Breakfast blends.
Although there is a whole universe of rose varieties and flavors, we believe the ideal petals for combining with Keemun come from the red roses native to Qimen county. They have a distinct sweet, cooling aroma that lends great balance to the blend.
Rose Petal Black pairs well with rich and slightly spicy foods. It also makes a delicious iced tea. One of our favorite recipes is to prepare a sauce from Rose Petal Black and serve it over vanilla ice cream.
Picked up a can of this on a whim because I enjoy floral teas, and I don't regret it. It's lovely. Nice and rosey, but not to the point of tasting like shampoo. You can sweeten it if you want, but I drink it without.
Smells very rosy. Very strong flavor. If you really love rose and its smell then this is the tea for you
Very delicate tea. I love the floral taste of it. High quality!
A bit more rich than I prefer my floral teas, but still a very solid cup of tea!
