Anniversary Blend is a blend of silvery Ceylon and golden Assam, accented by Ceylon Silver Tips and Assam Golden Tips. This is a version of classic blend of Ceylon & India that John Harney started selling from the beginning in 1983. In 2008, in honor of the 25th Anniversary, we added some Silver Tips and Assam Golden Tips. Besides making the tea special, these teas give the blend extra sweetness and elegance. A special tea to be enjoyed at a special time! Dry Leaves: This blend is mostly dark leaves accented by silver and golden tips. Liquor: The dark brown liquor is lightened by the Silver and Golden Tips. Aroma: There are muted notes of honey, and roasted malt. Caffeine Level: Caffeinated Body: It is lighter most black tea blends. The Ceylon & India base is brightened by the two different tippy teas. Flavors: There are wonderful BLT tea flavors of honey, light molasses and citrus. The sweetness from both the Silver & Golden tips brings a special sweetness to make this an unusual tea. Brewing Time: 4 to 5 minutes Brewing Temperature: 212° F
