An often overlooked gem of a green tea from Zhejiang Province. Several years ago Mike & his wife, Brigitte, took a trip to the hills and waters of Thousands of Islands. The sun was out and the weather bracing as they drove around the curves that follow the scenic shores of this large reservoir. Finally after hours of driving they arrived a storybook village: Chun Lu. The hills rise form the lake's edge up to the hills. There were enough stone walls to melt a New Englander's heart.

Aroma is bright and lightly floral, sweet, and slightly vegetal (like a cooked sweet zucchini), but not richly umami. Flavor is sweet, lightly umami, much like sugar syrup as extracted from a cooked zucchini.
The body is surprisingly thick.
Interesting, but not worth the price, IMO.
