Green Needles is traditional needle-shaped green tea from Hubei province. After withering, the tea leaves are fired in a tumble-roaster, then shaped using special heated table machines that shake the tea leaves back-and-forth repeatedly to coax the leaves into straight needles. The tea leaves are finally dried in an oven. This early spring tea is brimming with nutrients, offering a rich complexity and vibrancy. This lot was produced using the Long Jing #43 cultivar, which offers a balance of tender dewy sweetness, pleasantly herbaceous and pine-like aroma, and undertones of savory broth. Notes of lemon verbena and white pepper provide intriguing accents. A balance of tender dewy sweetness, pleasantly herbaceous and pine-like aroma, and undertones of savory broth.
