2019 first flush darjeeling (1 review)
The dormancy period is over and the Darjeeling hillsides are radiant with young, fragrant leaves. This year’s outstanding tea was carefully selected from the famed Selimbong Tea Garden which dates back to 1866 and borders the Sukhia Forest Reserve. A very special variety of China bush grows in altitudes ranging from 1,100m 1,700m which contributes a unique flavor. This first flush, or first plucking of spring, exhibits fresh, evenly sized, well-twisted, greenish colored leaves with a fair show of silver tips. The bright yellow-green infusion has a fresh aroma with a fruity flavor that hints of peach and apricot nectar.
