Darjeeling Sungma Summer is a second flush black tea from the famous Darjeeling region of India. Darjeeling tea is treasured for its rich golden liquor and distinctive muscatel (a type of grape) flavor. This tea scores high on both counts. Bright and aromatic, floral muscat grape aroma with notes of warm spice and sugary squash. Plush, tangy mouthfeel with a sweet finish and balanced astringency. This excellent summer harvest (second flush) of Darjeeling black tea comes from the highly regarded Sungma Estate. Steep at 212°F for 3-5 minutes

A nice light darjeeling with a little sweetness coming through. This is good hot and cold.

Nice aroma from the dry tea leaves. 2 min @ 175. I don't recall drinking Darjeeling before and it's not a bad experience. I can't describe the flavor, but I would recommend for black tea drinkers. No bitterness or astringency, just not for me with the caffeine.

What a true delight first thing in the morning with a nice delicious cuppa of Darjeeling tea. I used a tsp of adagios Bees honey. Perfect taste and makes you wish you made a nice big pot of tea.

Lovely black tea -- smooth flavor with just a hint of sweetness. Lovely hot, and I imagine it would make quite a nice iced tea as well! So good!

I followed the directions exact, but it was still really astringent. Other than that, it was nice - a pretty reddish orange liquor and a very bold muscatel flavor as it describes. It was decent, but way too astringent to be something I'd want regularly.

This is exquisite darjeeling tea. Delicate layered smooth black with nice subtle hit of muscat grape.

A decent darjeeling that can become astringent with an oversteep but will treat you right if you brew it right. As the name suggests, this is a lovely summer tea for those who like black teas.

This is a pleasant, mild tasting and fairly astringent Darjeeling tea. If you like Darjeeling, I think you will enjoy this tea! I steeped it at a much lower 180 degrees and added just a little raw honey.

A little bit astringent for me, but overall a good mid day cup to help get you through the afternoon.

It was okay, but I can't really say that I'm a huge fan of this..

Not as big as other darjeeling teas and nice floral aroma

Pretty "meh" tasting to me, like a weak Ceylon. But to be fair, I have no idea what the temp was, as I brewed it at work with one of those hot water dispensers. Will have to try it with my temperature controlled pot at home~

Update 4/7/23: Brewed at 195 at 3 minutes. This was better than the first time, although not one of my favorites. It was more astringent than I cared for, but more malty than a Ceylon. Much prefer the Yunnans and Laoshans for blacks. Didn't get any of the grape/spice/squash notes.
