After drinking a cup of this extraordinary mate blend, you'll feel ready to do battle with your day! Traditional yerba mate elegantly balances the spirit of chai spices with the essence of tropical fruit undertones culminating in a graceful mosaic of flavors. Not for the faint of heart, this is one herbal blend that will give you the warrior's energy you need to get through even the toughest of days. Steep at 212°F for 5-10 minutes

Adrian HWhen I opened the packet, the smell of the blend of spices was wonderful. It transferred over to a great flavor once brewed.

Kelly ParadiseYummy! But I feel like some ingredients demand milk while others are a bit too sweetened by it. That's definitely a personal preference though.

Mr. Chester G.This tea felt like it wanted to be a lot of things at once. And in the end it was mostly just cinnamon and almond flavor. Not horrible but not something I would buy again.

CCChris ConnellA smooth yerba mate chai. Hints of tropical fruit. Some notes of cinnamon. Very good.

Jen SThis smells delicious. I love Adagio's spicy cinnamon flavor. I don't taste mate, which works for me. But too much caffeine for me. Cheers.

Zell MaestroI don't normally like about half of the ingredients in this, and yet I still really enjoyed it. The cinnamon and more masala chai flavors stand out mainly, with just a hint of citrus. Very good if you want a warm spiced drink but it's not fruity like you'd expect.

WMwoodie McWhirterWhat a nice tropical and spice delicious mate that is a fun tea to drink when you need that energy you crave for when you are drinking this awesome tea.

Cindy SmithI blend this with white Ayurvedic chai and the rock sugar, one teaspoon each. It’s my daily start, and if ever anyone feels ill, I brew this for them and they always feel better. Love this blend together! It was always a favorite of mine and I am thrilled to have found it with Adiago Teas! Of all the tea companies I have tried, I have been most happiest with Adiago! Thank u for my loose tea!

Julie WThis tea is a lovely blend of sweetness and spice. Great quality ingredients. Unfortunately I developed a sensitivity to mate, so I can't sip this tea any longer. But those who love mate -- this tea is excellent!!!
-
Max GibbsoneI really really love this tea! It is so delicious and a great substitute for coffee
-
Janet RossThis is a subtle but flavorful chai tea. It needs a long steep but it’s worth the wait! I am able to steep this a second time with less water to continue my enjoyment! (8 minutes at 212 degrees)

Jeanine B.I’ve never had a mate like this! I love the spicy cinnamon flavor. I recommend this one to anyone.

CGCameron GlassThis is one of the best untraditional mate blends I've come across. It is much more successful than Adagio's white chai at the task of creating a unique experience. It's light and invigorating in a way that I've never found a chai blend to be.
-
Greg BancroftIt's a nice chai blend but I wish the cinnamon was dialed back a notch to let the other flavors shine.
-
Tracy JonesThe cinnamon is so aggressive that all other spice and tropical fruit flavors are lost. It also had a very watery taste to me. The mate didn't stand up to the strong flavors the way a black tea would have (in my opinion).
-
Jeff JacksonThis is a great little chai! I really enjoy the lightness and smoothness of it. There is a nice cinnamon aroma to it and, although it has the chai spices, the lack of a black tea base allows this one to be enjoyed without even adding milk or cream. I'll definitely be adding this to my Chai rotation.

Sleepy GreyhoundNice chai blend with sweet cinnamon and almond aroma. Tastes of the spices, but not much fruit. Nice pick-me-up tea!

Kat IOne of the teas I put on my periodic list. Definitely more of an acquired taste but it does grow on you. Lots of flavor
-
CNCaroline NitirahardjoIt's got a strong spicy flavour, which is great if you want to wake up. Not one I'd have often, but not unpleasant.
-
Elizabeth FrantzI find the sweeter notes take a longer steep to make themselves known, but this is a favorite of mine.

Dr Laura Amy spouse loves a mate for a hard day of work - keeps one happy w/o hunger too - this is a nice blend! thanksADAGIO

Debbie SellersIf you like atomic fireballs candy you may like this offering. This blend has alot of ingredients, but the tropical fruit flavors and the chai spice are lost on me because of the aggressive Overpowering spicy cinnamon and ginger. This tea isn't bad, but it personally didn't impress me much, I just really hated the taste. I generally like cinnamon flavored tea like when paired with apple. but this one was way to SPICY hot cinnamon for me personally.

Rebecca HaleyI like it. Not my favorite, but it has a nice tropical twist to a chai tea.
-
Mocha CocoaNot my tea. It does not have any taste, very bland and I dont really like its smell

Karie B.I had this iced. It was somewhat unusual to my taste. I did enjoy it but I probably wouldn't reorder. If you like Mate and unusual flavors give it a try.

MJMichael JacobsonSolid tea, with a good profile. Smells more spiced than it is, but the taste is still very good what with the fruity undertones. I wouldn't seek it out but it certainly isn't a loser.

Darian StapletonPretty good tea, nice in the evening. Although I rarely find myself reaching for this over other teas in my collection.
-
Faith PippengerMmm spicy! There's a little bit of natural sweetness to this that really pushes it beyond just good.
-
Annie KatharineThere are a lot of flavors going on in this tea. Many people love it but it's a bit too much for me.

Brannon HallThis tea, blended with adagio's White Ayurvedic Chai almost perfectly recreates the Teavana blend that piqued my interest in tea years ago. Love it! To create the blend, add 1 tsp of Samurai Mate and 2 tsp of White Ayurvedic Chai. Steep for 5 minutes @ 212°F.

AMAnjali MittuI can't stand this tea on it's own, but it is good when mixed with Adagio's Raja Oolong Chai.

Casey CovelI've never tasted a tea with so many ingredients, nor a tea where so many ingredients blend together so well! Typically, quantity decreases quality, but this is certainly not the case for Samurai Mate. Cinnamon and ginger sizzle on the tip of the tongue, followed by a flood of smooth lemongrass, mingled with green roobios. Fruity mango, papaya, and pineapple round out the feel-good, energizing sip with a sweet tang. So glad I took a chance on this tea! Don't miss it.

Savannah ShantonYummy! This tea is sooooooo good! I love the cinnamon flavour! This tea isn't in the least bit spicy. :)

cris amatoDELICIOUS!!! absolutely love this tea. The taste is wonderful, I mix it with either the green chai or Rooibos Vanilla chai. I love mate for the sustained energy without the palpitations from heavy caffeine intake. This tea has replaced my morning coffee
-
SHSarah HollandI love cinnamon and chai spices. This tea had them all! It’s so smooth and yummy
-
Zannah LYou will not like this tea if you don't care for chai spices. If you DO, however, it's lovely. Very smooth, no acidity or tannin, and followed up with very pleasant fruity notes. The cinnamon and cardamom are very present, which I enjoy. I made up a pot of it and drank the whole thing before I realized it.

Max SugermanSamurai Mate was a huge disappointment. It was way too spicy and undrinkable. It was just too much
