type: black

origin: india

caffeine: strong

price level: $$$$

Black tea from the famous Darjeeling region of India. This summer harvest tea comes to us from one of our favorites, Puttabong Estate. These tea gardens are some of the highest in the world, at 6000 feet above sea level. At these high altitudes, the tea leaves grow more slowly, and have more time to develop their unique Darjeeling flavor. This one has sweet, white grape or dessert wine fragrance, slightly earthy, and smooth, sweet-tangy flavor with a more gentle astringency than typical for these teas. Steep at 212°F for 3-5 minutes

This is a great darjeeling tea. It's smooth and slightly sweet. I drank this cold and really enjoyed it.

I love the earthy sweetness of this tea! Smooth and just lovely! I like this tea hot or cold-brewed. Great plain with nothing added or with a bit of stevia. Blends well with herbals or other tea.

An excellent black tea -- lightly fruity, a bit earthy, and overall incredibly pleasant to drink.

Darjeeling can be too big and bold but this one is very smooth and enjoyable

I'm not usually a fan of Darjeeling but this was unexpectedly good. It was sweet without feeling "sweetened." The earthiness I'm this tea is a great foil to the fruit flavors.

This is a smooth and flavorful earthy tea that was on the mild side. I enjoyed it plain and hot, but didn't care for it as it cooled to room temp.

This tea is smooth, mellow, and delicious! I steeped 1.6g of tea in 6oz of 190°F water x 2 minutes. There wasn't even a hint of astringency. It is good plain, but I enjoyed with a cube of raw sugar. The tea resteeps well (4 times, but the last cup was weaker). A solid staple that is excellent hot or cold and sure to please any black tea lover.

A lovely tea. There's a hint of coco, with a mild sweetness in it, just the way I like it. It's easy to miss the entire cup, because it's gone before you know it.

Very smooth but light black tea with a mild but full flavor. Only a little astringency hot, but more pronounced as it cools.

A good, flavorful darjeeling. Some brands have darjeeling either too harsh or too soft, but this is just right.

I really liked this Darjeeling, especially as an iced tea.

I'm not an expert about different types of teas, but I did enjoy this. I was concerned that the tea would be weak because if the light color, but it was very flavorful. On my second cup, I added a thin sliced of lemon.

I was surprised by this one - pleasantly. When brewed correctly you really can taste the grape 🍇 notes, and it’s overall a smooth blend.

I think this may be my first darjeeling. Judging by the other reviews, I may just not be a big fan of them, as this one seems to be a favorite.

I've tried a wide variety of Darjeeling teas and this is in my top three. I don't skimp on the "heaping teaspoon" and brew mine right at 3:15-3:30 and it's excellent every time. It's a light tasting black tea, hints of fruity (not overpowering)

I am a big Darjeeling fan and this one doesn't disappoint. The second brew is less astringent than the first but still wonderful.

I was able to brew this one twice and it tasted wonderfully both times. It has a nice, light, fruity taste. I really enjoyed this.
