type: herbal

origin: south africa rooibos

caffeine: no-caffeine

price level: $$$$

Rooibos herbal tea from South Africa infused with the delicate scent of night-blooming jasmine flowers. If you enjoy classic jasmine tea, keep this one on hand, too, for when you need a caffeine-free treat. Mellow and smooth, delicately sugary notes from the Rooibos. Lingering airy jasmine fragrance, like fine Jasmine Pearl tea (which tends to be more delicate and lightly perfumy). Rounded, fresh finish. Steep at 212°F for 5 minutes

Had a floral alcohol smell which I thought was different. Tasted great. Google showed me that Jasmine contains benzoyl alcohols. How interesting!! Not a 5 because I'm not big on floral flavors. Maybe floral will grow more on me one day.

One of the very few Adagio teas I don't like. Very little jasmine taste for me.....and what jasmine flavor there is does not blend well with red rooibos. Not a tea for me.

I'm a big fan of jasmine tea (Phoenix Pearl, etc.) so the possibility of a caffeine-free option attracted me like a magnet. I find it interesting that some reviews call it "too perfumey" and others "too rooibos-y". My packet was definitely on the rooibos side, to the point where I struggled to identify any jasmine at all. The resulting flavor is enjoyable, and fans of rooibos won't have anything to complain about, but I did not detect any of the advertised flavors otherwise. I'll have to try this one again in the future once the blend is revisited and revised.

After steeping following the directions on the packet (5 minutes at 212F) I felt like all I tasted was rooibos tea. Rooibos has a strong, woody, almost raisin taste to me, so I think it must of overpowered any floral flavors. If you want a floral rooibos tea, you might be better off just buying plain rooibos and adding your own flavoring to suit your taste.

The jasmine was nice and light but I really didn't care for how strong the rooibos came through. Kind of an odd pairing.

      Steeped at 212F for 4min

I couldn't have imagined this but rooibos and jasmine together taste like banana. I really didn't enjoy anything about this blend and neither did many of my friends in my tea group chat. I guess I can see why someone might like this blend but I really don't.

Well... it was something? The jasmine floral flavor doesn't play very well with the strong, astringent/tannin heavy rooibos body. I like both of these things, but separately. Going to have to shelf this one.

I did not like this at all. I didn’t smell or taste any jasmine, only rooibos which to me tastes like wet hay.

It feels like to rooibos and the jasmine are fighting each other rather than working together in this blend. Every sip either tastes of jasmine or rooibos, never both together, and you're never sure which is exactly it's going to be.

I love jasmine tea but only if it’s the natural flavor. This is gross. Very artificial.

Love this tea! Can't stop drinking it. Really great over ice with almond milk.

Not my favorite tea ever. It is well balanced, but I feel there is a disjoint due to the extreme floral quality of jasmine

This tea is a little too overbearing for my taste.

This is not a bad tea, but I think the Jasmine overpowers the rooibos, which has a somewhat delicate flavor. Makes it a little astringent.

This tea is good if you like jasmine, obviously. The scent is very powerful and perfume-y. Not my favorite, but still very good quality!
