type: green

origin: china

The large twisted "yellow tea" leaves brew to a lovely golden yellow color. It has soft, airy notes and a dry, crisp, fruity character reminiscent of a well-made tippy Darjeeling, but a bit more mellow. Lingering floral notes whisper in the finish. Steep at 180°F for 2-3 minutes

A light tea with a touch of sweetness. Not the usual bolder tastes I usually go for, but this was a very enjoyable cup of tea! Smooth, light and relaxing!

3 min @ 180 Golden liquor gave me a mild sense of steamed greens. There was medium astringency, no bitterness, and light floral aftertaste. I steeped a second time for 2 min @ 180 and got a darker liquid that was less astringent and no floral aftertaste. This was a smooth green tea to me that I got multiple resteeps out of. I enjoy green teas and found this one to be pleasant and relaxing.

This is a tricky one to brew. At 180 and 3 minutes, too bitter. At 165 and 2 minutes, not enough flavor. Still trying to find that perfect brewing spot!

This is a very lovely green tea. I steeped this tea for less time than recommended (1.5 minutes at 180F) as I think 2-3 minutes is way too long for green tea unless you plan to make bitter leaf juice.

After steeping, this tea had a very mild leafy flavor without any bitterness. I enjoyed it so much I went in for a second steep (1 minute at 180F) and it was just as pleasant as the first cup.

Smooth and not at all astringent. This would pair well with a number of foods and treats. This has a relatively light, fresh taste that I'm struggling to describe.

      Brewed at 180F for 2min

This tea is one of the least grassy greens I've had in a while but the bitterness is quite strong. I'm not saying I hated it but the aforementioned bitterness makes it harder to love than to like. It's sweet and floral from the get go and only gets moreso on subsequent steeps with the bitterness getting less and less pronounced.

Brews up to a nice gold color. Not a lot of aroma, but very flavorful. Tastes of nice green tea without harshness or grassiness. Distinct white grape flavor, with sweetness, but finishes very dry with some astringency. Refreshing.

I finally found a plain green tea that I like. It was very soft and almost sweet tasting and cleansing to the palette. Not grassy at all.

Smooth, mellow, and slightly grassy, this tea takes well to multiple infusions and lingers on the tongue after drinking
