I've become a big fan of oolongs recently and I've loved other blackberry sage teas I've had, so I was very excited to try this one, sure I would love it. While it's unobjectionable, I have to admit I was rather disappointed. I couldn't taste much berry flavor at all, and the oolong didn't have as much character as I would hope for. While I'd happily drink this tea again, I doubt I'd buy it.

at first the sage was a bit overpowering. Then I added a dash of sugar and a splash of milk. It straightened the tea right out. Great flavor

I really wanted to love this tea, I think if the blackberry flavor was more present this blend would be a knockout!

This tea lacked flavor or me. I could taste the blackberry with a bit of sage at the end. Wish the blackberry was stronger.

Day 17 of Advent calendar. Nothing wrong with it but just not enough flavor. If I got another sample of this I would try it again. Just steep it longer

Wow! Totally delicious with some honey 2 tsp with a adagio.com communiTEA mug 14 oz. Light delicious berry and herb taste, but if you add too much tea, it can become too strong and bitter.

To be very honest you have to like herbs in your tea. I like (4 star) the tea hot with sweetener but it is an outstanding cold brew with sweetener. ( 10 star ) lol Just a wonderful iced tea! Bravo!

I love the mix of flavors in this tea! So relaxing, great taste and wonderful aroma! This is the first tea I have tried with sage, and I found I really like it!

This is a surprisingly good blend! Both the berry and the herbal notes come through in the flavor. Who knew sage was such an excellent addition to tea?

This is a delicious tea with all the flavors perfectly balanced. A little sweetener is all you need for a perfect cup of tea. I steeped at 200 degrees for 4 minutes.

The tea that got my brother to drink iced tea! My brother's not a big tea fan, but after trying just a tiny sip of this to be polite, he then poured himself a big cup of it! It's got a nice berry tea with a surprising burst of sage. Is flavorful even after multiple cold brew steeps. And according to an article on Adagio Tea's website, the shelf life of Oolong teas might last up to 50 years. That's an oolong time to enjoy this great tea.

Got a sample of this first, and I'm glad I did. It's too much sage for me. The blackberry flavor is there and it's nice, but it's overwhelmed by the powerful herby taste of sage. Blech.

I was surprised that the combination of sage and blackberry would taste good together. Adding a bit of cream to this, brought out the blackberry more.

This was a surprise delight. I tried a sample based on the reviews of other CommuniTea members and discovered a new oolong to add to my tea stash. The earthiness of sage with the sweetness of blackberry works very well together.

Too much sage. Way too much. The blackberry flavoring's alright, but it's almost lost under all of the sage.

I love the balance of sweet blackberry with herby sage in this tea. A little honey coaxes out even more blackberry flavor. The oolong provides a smooth full-bodied base, and stands up to multiple infusions (3-4). Also good as an iced tea.

Steeped at 212F for 5 minutes. This is quite berry forward with a nice, mellow sage toward the end of each sip. It has a natural sweetness that I quite enjoy. I will certainly be reordering this!

This is one of my absolute favorite iced teas. The blackberry and sage work perfectly together and create an outstanding flavor. The profile of the oolong is there and builds a nice base.

I had such high hopes for this tea. I really did! I'm a fan of the flavors as individuals but this tea just did NOT work for me. It tastes less like blackberry and more like sage tea with other flavors added in such a way that it muddies the taste of the tea in general.

    • 

Strange but delectable! The oolong base provides the perfect structure for an almost perfumed, relaxing tea. The sage is unexpected but tones down the astringency of the berry.

    • 

Absolutely delicious. I never would have thought sage would have gone so well with oolong. The berry adds a touch of sweetness to this, making for a well rounded, enjoyable drink.

Hearty meets fruity in this tea! The balance of the hearty sage, fruit and earthy oolong come together to create a perfect blend. Very good tea.

    • 

This is one of my favorites! The blackberry is more pronounced than the sage and I love the combination. It's really smooth and a nice mix of sweet and savory or earthy. I just love this one!

Brewed at 190F for 4 minutes with rock sugar added

While in the midst of brewing and letting the final product cool, I completely forgot that sage is a big part of this blend. Upon sipping, I had a split second of "oh, nice fruit". and then the sage smacked me like a semi. I tried to give this tea a fair shot, but I just can't take the sage flavor being in there. It is very alarming to my taste buds and makes me want to abort mission. Definitely a no from me.

    • 

I'm pleasantly surprised by how well the save works in the tea. Also of note, the flavor is definitely "berry" rather than the generic "fruity" I was afraid of getting.

      

Love this tea SO much! Blackberry is one of my favorite flavors anyway, but the sage adds an unexpected and wonderful refreshing flavor. The dry leaves smell heavenly and herbally, and it seems like the brewed tea has equal proportions of berry and sage - one doesn't overpower the other. I was able to get two solid steeps out of this - I did one hot and one cold, and they were both wonderful. Oolong is more delicate than Ceylon, but I think that's perfect for this particular flavor of tea.

    • 

The dry tea has a strong berry scent. Once steeped the sage becomes the most prominent scent; strong and herbal.

Sage is all I could taste when the tea was still at it's hottest. The more it cooled the more the berry flavors came to the front. The sage flavor didn't go away, but it mingled with the berry, a very pleasing blend.

On the second steep the berry flavors were the most prominent, even when hot. For the third steep the berry flavor drops out almost completely and you're left with jus a sage oolong. The sage is not as strong as the first steep of course, so it's still a nice cuppa if you're one for herbal flavors.

      Steeped (1) 190F 4min, (2) 200F 4min, (3) 200F 4min

Very nice blend. Lightly fruity, with sage being the predominant flavor along with the tea.

    • 

The sage comes through as a pleasant savory flavor, and the fruity notes compliment it nicely. I wouldn't have been able to tell it was an oolong base or that the fruit was suppose to be blackberry, but it all somehow works together to be a delicious cup of tea. You must like sage, as it is forefront in smell and taste. I enjoy it plain, but a little rock sugar does a nice job of enhancing the flavors.

The sage flavor was a b it overpowering for me and the blackberry did not really come through. It kind of felt like drinking liquid stuffing because the sage was so strong. I definitely preferred the second steeping of this tea as the sage flavor was not as strong.

    • 

I did not care for this tea. There is something about it, could be the sage, that makes it taste muddled and the blackberry does not come through for me.

I loved this one! After I opened my sample pouch, I drank it literally everyday until it was gone because I liked it so much. It feels very Summer into Fall to me. The sage brings a mellow herbal sweetness, the berry brings a nice light (but deep flavored) fruit juiciness, and the oolong is very smooth in this blend.

Blackberry is quickly becoming my favorite fruit tea. The sage is pronounced (though not overly so) in this one, which may make a difference in whether you like it or not. I love how smoothly his one goes down--the right blend of oolong and herbal. If you're a fan of blackberry teas, give it a try!

This oolong does have a strong taste of sage or herbs, but the blackberry flavor is present and the combination is very nice. It's not my all-time favorite oolong, but if you are a blackberry and sage fan, you will enjoy this one!

This one has a strong herbal smell when dry, but the fruity taste comes out a lot more in the tea. It's an interesting flavor combination
