Dorothy Summey

Mom of two tall beautiful girls.....who loves tea! I was introduced to Adagio by a co-worker in 2017; she and I have been looking forward to having our cup of tea every morning ever since then. COVID-19 has forced us into working from home and I miss my tea time with my co-worker. She retired at the end of July 2020...I miss my tea buddy but have made a friend for life!

This tea is different. Spicy and sassy and not for the faint of heart. Icing this one is wonderful on the palate. Spicy and cool at the same time.

  • Blood Orange Iced Tea

    

This one is great iced with a spoonful of sugar and reminds me of the Tang I used to drink as a kid.

  • White Pearls

Love how these white pearls unfurl when water meets pearl. Very good tasting light tea.

  • White Pear

    

By far, my most favorite white tea by Adagio. This one is also a good tea to use in blends. There are not many pear teas available which make this a delectable find.

  • White Eternal Spring

    

This is probably one of the best white teas Adagio has to offer with very fruity notes that are perfect for spring.

  • Berry Creme Compote

    

Love the tartness of the blend. I added some creme to the blend and turned this into a berries and creme dessert treat.

  • Silver Needle

    

One of my favorite white teas from Adagio. It is light and delicate and delicious.

  • Cranberry

    

Love the tartness of this tea with a bit of rock sugar to balance out the tartness. A good blend for the winter months.

  • Cream

    

The tea has a vanilla aroma and taste to it reminiscent of a vanilla buttercream cupcake. Very good tea and great in blends as well.

  • Raspberry Green

    

I am a fan of fruity green tea and this is no exception. A bit of green tea honey from Adagio brought out more fruitiness.

  • Lavender Lemon

    

Love this lemony tea with just a hint of soothing lavender to calm me down.

  • Decaf Strawberry

    

Strawberries remind me of summer. This tea is great hot or iced with the addition of some Adagio’s rock sugar to bring out the sweetness.

  • Pu-Erh Poe

    

Hi ho! Hi ho! Off to the woods I go! This tea was musty, earthy like the soil in a forest. It was right up my alley in terms of my tea palate. Good for multiple steeps.

  • Lemon Meringue Green

    

This is by far my most favorite green tea by Adagio. The tartness of the lemon and the creaminess of the vanilla makes this a hit with the family!

  • Spearmint

    

Smells like spearmint gum. Tastes very minty; good for the tummy and freshens the breath.

  • White Strawberry

    

I brewed a cup and stuck it in the fridge to chill for a couple of hours. Good flavor of strawberries and white tea. Although there was rooibos in this blend, I was not picking up that flavor in my cup.

  • Apricot Green

    

Very light tasting green tea with bursting apricot flavor. I love all fruit green teas so this was a winner in my book.

  • Formosa Oolong

    

Reminds me of what wet wood chips might taste like but I am still liking this cup of tea. Oolongs are very forgiving if over steeped.

  • Ti Kuan Yin

    

Slightly toasty and vegetal with a scent of freshly mowed grass. Very good tea for multiple infusions.

  • Currant

    

A bit tart and tangy from the currants and bitter from the black tea despite brewing at lower temperature. I added a few rock sugar crystals to tame down the bitterness.

  • Mocha Nut Mate

    

Yum! The smell of this tea is downright phenomenal! All the goodness of chocolate and hazelnut. The taste is there to boot. I added cream and sugar and it tasted like a weak coffee.

  • Assam Harmony

    

Found that this tea did not turn bitter when steeped. I usually need sugar in my black teas but found this tea to be perfect on its own with no sugar, cream or lemon required.

  • Chamomile

    

The chamomile tea I am most familiar with is in the form of a crushed chamomile flower, not the nice big flowers that I am seeing in my sample packet. I love chamomile tea with a bit of honey to help me unwind and relax.

  • Jasmine Yin Hao

    

This jasmine tea has less of the jasmine taste than the jasmine Phoenix pearls. I am getting a mineral taste at the end of the sip.

  • Rooibos Mango

    

Too medicinal in taste for me and not enough mango to cover the flavor of the rooibos. Glad to have tried it to find out it is not for me.

  • Peach Oolong

    

Peaches and oolong tea. What is there not to like? This tea reminds me of going peach picking in the summer!

  • Jasmine Phoenix Pearls

    

Soft and buttery tasting tea. Simple yet elegant enough to serve at a tea party.

  • Chocolate Chai Pu Erh

    

Ginger, chocolate and cinnamon are balanced with the Pu erh to creat a new chocolately chai when cream and sugar are added.

  • Peach Bellini

    

I always double the amount of tea to water ratio for this blend because I like a more pronounced peach flavor. This one also cold brews quite well.

  • Sleeping Dragon

    

Good tasting green tea without the grassy taste. This one tastes more fruity/floral than other greens I’ve tried. Good for multiple steeps.

  • Lemongrass

    

I love lemon tea so I knew this was going to be a little ray of sunshine on a cold winter day! Pleasant sip!

  • Jasmine Chun Hao

    

The soft mouthfeel of the jasmine pairs well with the green tea. This tea is soothing and goes down well. No additional sweetener is needed.

  • Valentines

    

The true flavor of the tea came out when I added some cream and sugar. Now I taste chocolate covered strawberries. That’s amore! ❤️

  • White Peach

    

Peaches...I love them! I wish the peach flavor was a bit more pronounced but an overall good white tea blend. But what white tea isn’t good?

  • Cha Cha

    

Love all three of these teas individually so as a blend this is so good. Good nighttime sip to help me unwind.

  • Spiced Apple Chai

    

Sweet cidery apple aroma is making its way from cup to nostril and it smells so good. It tastes just as good with the tart apples and cinnamony chai flavors. This one is a keeper.

  • Ceylon Sonata

    

Love this tea how my mother used to make me tea when I was little. Just enough lemon for tartness and plenty of sugar!

  • Fujian Orchid

    

Beautiful soft oolong which is almost a cross between green and white tea. Reminds me of spring in this cold winter day.

  • Rooibos

    

This is just one of those teas I cannot tolerate. It is too medicinal for my taste no matter how I try to spruce it up.

  • Sencha Overture

    

Green tea with vegetal, buttery soup feel to it. Not my favorite but could tolerate a cup once in a blue moon. I prefer fruity green teas to just basic green teas.

  • Melonberry Green

    

The strawberry is predominant in this blend with a hint of watermelon. I love all fruit flavored green teas so this was a win-win for me!

  • Pu-erh Hazelberry

    

This is one of my favorite teas from Adagio. Hazelnuts and strawberries rooted in a Pu-erh base lends to a woodsy chocolate cup of goodness.

  • Tiger Eye

    

Despite brewing at a lower temperature than recommended, I felt this tea was bitter. With my second steep, I added some cream and sugar and although the cream and sugar helped some, I still found it to have a bitter taste.

  • Milk Oolong

    

This tea tastes more like a green tea than an oolong. It is delicate and buttery and requires no additional sweetener.

  • Yunnan Jig

    

Mmmm....smooth black tea that goes down easily. I added a bit of rock sugar. Sweet but bold and good for multiple steeps.

  • Mandarin Green

    

Tried this initially as a sample packet and I did not taste the mandarin. This review is based on my Communitea packet. The tangy zest from the citrus and the grassiness of the green tea combine well for a refreshing cup of tea.

  • Blackberry Sage Oolong

    

Hearty meets fruity in this tea! The balance of the hearty sage, fruit and earthy oolong come together to create a perfect blend. Very good tea.

  • Jump Start

    

To me, this tea tastes like twigs and wood to me and is really not doing anything for me. May try second steep with rock sugar to see if it tastes better.

  • Decaf Spice

    

Very good spicy notes of cinnamon and orange and cloves. I added some Adagio whipped cinnamon and this cup of tea became a warm blanket to keep me warm on this cold winter day.

  • Double Ginger

    

The smell overwhelmed me but the taste was pleasantly good with the ginger and peppercorn bite.

  • Rooibos Vanilla Chai

    

Typically not a fan of red rooibos but the chai spice overpowered the medicinal taste of the rooibos and was somewhat decent.

  • Dragonwell

    

Nice and buttery taste to the green tea. Nice tea to use to introduce someone to the world of green teas!

  • Assam Melody

    

Bold classic black tea that requires no sweetener or cream to satisfy my black tea indulgence.

  • White Blueberry

    

A delicate blend of crisp luscious blueberries against a white tea background.

  • Almond

    

Good, nutty flavor when added some rock sugar to this cup. I think I will add some orange peel to my next cup to change up the flavor. Tastes like a marzipan.

  • Summer Night

    

Tastes like a minty orange creamsicle! Perfect for a summer night when iced. I needed to use double the recommended amount to adjust the tea to my flavor preference.

  • Pu-erh Tahiti

    

I am mixed on coconut in teas. It does well in this blend with tropical flavors of papaya and mango.

  • Raspberry

    

This tea tastes like summer. Added some Adagio honey and the flavor popped.

  • Silver Sprout

    

I would recommend this tea for anyone starting to dabble in green teas. Although it is a bit vegetal, it is also buttery and light and easy in the palate.

  • English Breakfast

    

Malty rich flavors were notes with the addition of cream and sugar. I think the queen would approve!

  • Rooibos Earl Grey

    

Not a fan of red rooibos but I think the earl grey and red rooibos met in the middle to create a balanced blend.

  • Rooibos Nutcracker

    

Smells wonderful but for someone who is not a fan of red rooibos tea, this blend was not a favorite. I predominantly tasted the rooibos and had very little caramel or cocoa flavor.

  • Candy Cane

    

I would have preferred a bit more peppermint flavor in this tea. I added cream and sugar and it was a delightful cup of candy cane tea.

  • Masala Chai

    

A good chai but the addition of cream and sugar turned this into a spicy, creamy and slightly sweetened chai.

  • Christmas

    

Hits all the right notes in terms of Christmas flavors. Spice and fruit all wrapped up in a cup like a Christmas present.

  • White Chai

    

This is the tea the got me hooked on Adagio. White tea with enough spice and pepper notes to keep it different from other black chai teas.

  • Yuletide Toddy

    

Upon opening this packet, it smelled like bubblegum. However, the flavor is all holiday inspired with orange, cranberry and cinnamon with just a hint of cherry. Lovey sip on a cold winter day.

  • Cocomint Green

    

I didn’t think I would like cocoa flavor in my tea but the flavor works very well here with the mint. Tastes like an Andes mint.

  • Chestnut

    

Not sure what chestnuts are supposed to taste like but this is a good tea to have around for the fall and winter. Good cup to sip while watching Christmas movies by the fire.

  • Vanilla Oolong

    

Smell of vanilla is strong but the taste is subtle, sweet and so good! Good with a bit of honey.

  • Honeybush Mango

    

Very juicy mango flavor. Thing to remember is that this tea requires a long steep time to bring out the mango flavor. Flavor comes out when cooled.

  • Gingerbread

    

This tea tastes better when cooled and some raw honey is added to bring out the flavors. Leaves me craving gingerbread cookies now!

  • Spiced Green

    

Smells like a fresh Christmas wreath. Very delicate green tea flavor with spice reminiscent of all things Christmas.

  • Raja Oolong Chai

    

The more cinnamon the better for me. Getting notes of cinnamon, cloves and peppercorn. Very spicy for this who love cinnamon!

  • Pomegranate Grove

    

This tea tastes like a juicy pomegranate topped with mulling spices. It is both tart and sweet and a beautiful pink color. This tea would be good for walking around the neighborhood checking out people’s Christmas decorations.

  • Peppermint

    

If you love peppermint, you will love this tea. The mintiness lingers in your mouth like you’ve just eaten an Altoid mint. Very refreshing with a bit of added rock sugar.

  • Pu-erh Chorange

    

Wow! Yum! I was looking to try this one for some time now. Perfect blend of orange and chocolate, reminiscent of Terry’s chocolate orange.

  • Bella Luna Blue

    

Although the tea itself tastes mostly like lemongrass, the novelty of the beautiful blue/purple color incentivized me to make this purchase.

  • Elderberry Wine

    

Sweet and fruity with no additional sugar needed. Almost tasted like sangria. This would be good as an iced tea. Elderberry has health benefits too!

  • Earl Grey Moonlight

    

Sipping this by the moonlight as I woke up early today. The much needed caffeine is starting to kick in as I enjoy the lovely creamy vanilla flavor of this earl grey.

  • Golden Flower

    

This tea is similar to a green tea with almost floral jasmine undertones. A little goes a long way as the buds are tightly rolled.
