  • Cupid’s Cup

    

My kids and I try to have a tea party every day, and this is their #1 favorite. They request it every time and are always super disappointed when we run out. The smell is divine, and the flavor is like some kind of fruity and creamy dessert. It's so good, some of my kids even love it without any sugar. But adding sugar makes it a bit dangerous :) It really doesn't steep well more than once, but that's a minor complaint. I wish this was available year round.

  • Chocolate Truffle

    

This is one of my all-time favorite teas from Adagio. Just beautiful and wonderful. I had originally bought a bag of the regular chocolate tea, and I loved it, but then I got a sample of this and was amazed at how much richer it was.

It's going to be a staple in my house now - it's great to mix with other teas like vanilla and raspberry.

  • Golden Monkey

This tea didn't really do a whole lot for me. We just had a small sample in our Twelve Days of Christmas tea tin, so maybe I just didn't use enough. I do prefer flavored teas. I am sure this is a great tasting tea though! Maybe I can try it again soon. It seemed unremarkable to me though overall.

  • White Pear

    

We tried this with our Twelve Days of Christmas tea, and it was a hit! It's light and delicate, like a white should be. It's a little light for my personal taste, so I probably wouldn't buy it, but it was nice to have.

  • Rooibos Pecan Turtle

    

We tried this with our twelve days of Christmas teas! I don't like rooibos at all, but this is okay. It definitely has that "rancid" flavor I always associate with rooibos. I wouldn't buy it for me, but the kids really loved it!

  • Earl Grey Bella Luna

    

I love almost any kind of Earl Grey, so this was likely going to be a winner no matter what. I FINALLY ordered on the right day to snag a bag of this and I don't regret it! It's comforting and smooth tasting. The coconut is light and delicate. Great blend!

  • Decaf Earl Grey

    

This is a solid Earl Grey. I appreciate being able to have it when I need to drink decaf. It's very bright and perky - not sure how else to describe it. Not mellow, but that's pretty perfect for me. I like blending this with other decaf flavors to tone it down slightly. :)

  • Decaf Vanilla

    

This tea is excellent! It's really tasty by itself or mixed with other teas. I like it especially with the decaf strawberry and the decaf raspberry. :)

  • Berry Blast

    

I don't normlly go for herbals, but this tea is AMAZING. Fruity, tasty, just delightful. I could see myself ordering a big bag of this - I had it hot, but I have a feeling it will be even better iced.

  • Kentucky Bourbon

    

I guess I was feeling adventurous when I decided to buy a whole bag of this. The flavor profile makes it sound like it would be totally amazing, but it mostly tastes like fake smoke and chemicals. I didn't know enough about lapsang souchong to know that it's not something I like. The rubbery/smoky flavor does NOT work for me. I hope I can find someone to give this to, or it risks sitting on the shelf until it expires. :(

  • Teaster Marshmallow

    

This sounds like it woud be really tasty, but unfortunately, it doesn't really deliver. It's VERY weak, no matter what I do. Even the kids, who like less intense teas, were kind of eh about this one. The rooibos is too strong for my taste as well.

  • Decaf Strawberry

    

Although the berry flavor is very subtle, this tea is great! I appreciate that it isn't artificial tasting (especially since the blueberry, blackberry, and cranberry teas are almost unbearably artificial tasting.) It doesn't have that umph of the caffeinated version, but that's okay. I'm glad to have this decaf tea to drink in the evening! It's not as good as the cinnamon hazelnut creme, but it's not a fair comparison really. Love this and will be buying again!

  • Passionfruit Tango

    

I actually really dig this tea! (More than I thought I would, given it's sort of an odd mishmash of ingredients!) It kind of smelled like a pleasant perfume to me when I opened the packet. When brewed, it's a beautiful dark red wine color. I get the slightest hint of cinnamon, some fruit, floral, and just a small amount of rose petals (which it the main thing I don't like). The rose petals aren't overpowering, and the other ingredients blend together really wonderfully. I'm not a fan of the tart teas, but this one is not bad at all. :)

  • Decaf Hazelnut Cinnamon Creme

    

I've tried a LOT of tea from Adagio - both from the CommuniTEA and from just buying bags - and this is one of my all-time favorites! It kind of reminds me of a pecan praline. It's nutty and cinnamon without tasting too artificial. I love that it's decaf and I can have it anytime of day. The smell and taste reminds me of how the holiday season feels - warm and wonderful. This is a repeat buy for SURE!

  • Gaucho Mate Chai

    

I tried this through the CommuniTEA. I don't prefer chai, and this tastes pretty much exactly the same as all other chais - the spices are just so distinctive and overpowering. I guess chai lovers might enjoy this, but they all just taste the same to me. :/

  • Honeybush Hazelnut

    

This is a pretty solid tea! The hazelnut isn't too artificial tasting to me. Honeybush is a mild tea that thankfully doesn't taste too much like rooibos even though they are related. I do get a hint of "cardboard" which I am just thinking might be the hazelnut flavoring Adagio uses since I've tasted it in a few hazelnut teas lately. It's not bad. I probably wouldn't order this again, but I wouldn't turn a cup down!

  • Almond Oolong

    

I got a sample packet of this just because it sounded good - the regular almond Ceylon is amazing! - but I was very disappointed. It has that typical cardboard taste that a lot of oolongs have apparently, and I hardly get any almond flavor. And in fact, it almost tastes like there are other things added like cinnamon. Just awful.

  • Pomegranate

    

I got a sample packet of this, and I'm glad I didn't get the full bag. It's just very artificial tasting. I may end up mixing it in with other things to make some fun blends, but I won't be getting a full bag.

  • Chocolate Chai

    

I got a sample packet of this through the CommuniTEA. I don't like chai, so my rating for this would never have been too high. It's about the same as most other chai teas. They all end up tasting the same - just that overpowering spicy flavor. I got a very subtle hint of chocolate, but it's not pleasant mixed with the spices. I'd definitely not choose this again. Chai lovers might enjoy this I suppose.

  • Casablanca Twist

    

This tea is really far too minty for my taste. I couldn't really determine any other flavors since the mint was too overwhelming. I'm giving it 2.5 stars since it's not actually revolting like some other things I've tried (like rooibos) and mint lovers will surely enjoy this. :)

  • Foxtrot

    

I'm so surprised at how much I liked this tea - given how much I loathe rooibos. I also don't care too much for mint in my tea. But I love chamomile, and that's what came through the strongest in this blend. I did also get a slight hint of vanilla, which was pleasant, The rooibos was barely noticeable - so that was awesome. I wouldn't turn down another cup of this, and as far as chamomile/mint blends, this is one of the best I've had!

  • White Eternal Spring

    

This tea would be a mediocre white (which I always find too weak for my taste) as I don't taste any of the added flavors - people are mentioning getting notes of pineapple and berry. But the addition of rose petals just ruins this totally for me. I can't stand the taste of them. This tea is definitely a miss for me!

  • Rooibos Caramel

    

I got a sample of this through the March CommuniTEA box. I don't like rooibos, and this was about as bad as they come. No redeeming qualities, just the regular rancid rooibos taste. I couldn't even taste any caramel. My kids liked this, so I let them have the rest.

  • CREAM OF EARL GREY (ORGANIC)

    

I got a sample of this in my Sips By Box. I normally LOVE anything Earl Grey, and this sounds like it would really amazing - cream and vanilla added to my favorite black tea? I was excited. BUT, unfortunately, I could hardly taste the Earl Grey, and the cream flavor was very overpowering and artificial tasting. This is actually the first tea I have ever tried from DavidsTea, and I'm a little disappointed. :(

  • Earl Grey Bravo

    

Earl Grey is one of my favorites, so I knew I would love this. I actually got this just because I go through so much of it, and I needed to have it on hand. I plan to have it on its own and mix it with other flavors too! No complaints. WIll buy again! <3

  • White Strawberry

    

This would be really good except for the added rooibos, which I can't stand. It has a rancid flavor that makes everything taste bad, and this tea would be amazing except for that.

I'd love to see a white strawberry without rooibos.

  • Strawberry Tea

    

This is a wonderful member of the berry black family - one of my favorites after raspberry and currant. It's very tasty, though the strawberry flavor is very subtle. It's almost perfect, though I wish the berry flavor were just a little bit stronger. This is a keeper (and a staple) for sure!

  • Black Currant - Decaf

    

I had to drink only decaf for a while, and this was one of my go to teas! Currants have such a beautiful flavor, and it's actually a little hard up find foods and teas that use them! It kind of tastes like a mixture between blueberry and raspberry to me. Even though it's decaf, it still tastes great. Though definitely not as full bodied or hearty as a regular tea. It still gets five stars from me though!

  • Formosa Oolong

    

This tea really isn't bad - it does have that slight "burnt cardboard" taste that a lot of oolongs seem to have, but beyond that it is actually pretty pleasant. It's bright like the standard orange pekoe I'm used to. Overall, not a bad tea, and it's actually a little heartier than a lot of the oolongs I have tried recently. I'm pleased with it - but ultimately would not buy a full bag of it.

  • Matcha Peach

    

Similar to the blueberry and raspberry matchas, this smells like peach but doesn't really taste like peach to me. It's not bad - it's still enjoyable, but I will probably just order plain matcha from now on since the flavors are not really coming through for me. It just tastes like regular matcha to me.

  • Cinnamon Apple Spice

    

My kids seem to like this one, but I can't get into it. It had that weird sweet flavor that cinnamon teas have a tendency to have (without adding any sweetener). I don't know why, but that has always been so bothersome to me. I can't taste the apple much. I was actually unable to finish my cup. I wouldn't choose to buy or drink this one again.

  • Citrus Sunrise

    

If I have to drink herbal tea (if I'm avoiding caffeine for whatever reason), this is one I have a tendency to choose. It's pretty tasty, though it does have a tendency to taste a little weak, so I sometimes double bag it. It's refreshing and delicious, and that's without adding sugar or honey. I would imagine this might be dangerous if I added sweetener ;)

  • Casimira

    

Casimira is one of the BEST tasting teas I have ever had! I got a sample of this in my Sips By box and then ordered a full-sized bag shortly after! I love Earl Grey and raspberry flavor, so this was a beautiful blend. Perfect in every way <3

  • Decaf Raspberry

    

The Adagio raspberry teas are some of my absolute favorites! I love the regular caffeinated version of this tea, and this one is just as good - fruity and wonderful without the fake flavors like blueberry and blackberry have. It's so good I can't even tell it's decaf. I just had a sample pouch, but I will definitely be buying more soon!

  • Currant

    

This is probably one of my absolute favorite teas I have ever tried from Adagio! (And I have tried quite a few!) It reminds me a little of raspberry but it's really got a nice unique berry flavor and does NOT taste fake like so many of the other berry teas. I love it so much - I will definitely be buying a full-sized bag very soon!

  • Ti Kuan Yin

    

This is clearly a high quality tea, and I do enjoy the green-esque oolongs from Agadio - they are always great! This one is good too but has a very slight plasticky/chemically aftertaste to me, as well as what I can only describe as a slight BO smell to it -- on the first steep. Those issues disappeared on the second and third steeps though. This is a little light for my taste, not as robust or full bodied as some of the greens and other oolongs. It's good, though I probably wouldn't buy a whole bag of it. There are other oolongs I like better.

  • Berry Blues

    

I drink a lot of regular caffeinated tea, and I have been hesitant to branch out to herbals, but lately I have found myself wanting decaffeinated tea at night before bed. I tried this as one of the half-off suggested samples. It smells and tastes really wonderful! I can't quite get with the tart quality, otherwise this would get 5 stars from me as the flavor is just about perfect - not fake tasting at all. It is definitely better cold/iced. I don't ever add sugar to my tea, but if I did I could imagine this one might become a little addictive!

A wonderful tea that I will probably buy a bag of at some point!

  • Chocolate Chip

    

This tea is delicious! I like it slightly better than the regular chocolate tea. It is great on its own and will surely be wonderful mixed with other things. I <3 dessert teas. I ordered just a sample, but I will be getting a full bag when I run out of the regular chocolate for sure!

  • Mocha Nut Mate

    

This isn't bad - it's reminiscent of coffee as intended. It is sort of chocolaty, though I don't really pick up the nutty notes as much. It has sort of a burnt taste to it, but I feel like I could acquire the taste for it if I needed to - like if I needed to give up coffee. It's not bad, but I probably won't order more.

  • Assam Harmony

    

I have tried the assam melody already and found it very lovely. I drink my teas with no milk or sugar. This one is a little less malty and more like the orange pekoe I'm used to, but much richer! It tastes more chocolatey than raisiny as the description suggests. This is definitely a very nice high-quality black tea that I would eagerly drink again.

  • Chamomile

    

I love love love chamomile and am so glad Adagio offers it by itself -NOT mixed with a whole bunch of other hebs. The flavor is beautiful and wonderful, very soothing. I'll definitely be ordering more of this at some point to drink at night!

  • Jasmine Yin Hao

    

I don't choose jasmine green often, but this one is really lovely! Unlike some I have tried, the jasmine isn't too perfumy or fake tasting. The green tea isn't bitter or sharp. An overall good tea! Jasmine green lovers will almost certainly love this one.

  • Peach Oolong

    

This tea was just okay. I normally like oolong, and the other peach teas I have tried from Adagio have been really good. But the peach flavor for this one wasn't very strong - no juicy, fruity, sweetness. It actually tasted slightly dirty, like it had been run through a cardboard filter or something. Not the worst but not the best.

  • Rooibos Mango

    

I'm honestly not sure how people actually enjoy rooibos, as it is just intolerable to me. This is as bad as any I've tried . It has the same rotton/rancid rooibos flavor. My kids liked this, so that's good, but I didn't.

  • Honeybush Banana Nut

    

I've been sort of on the fence about honeybush since I don't like red rooibos at ALL, but this tea is amazingly delicious. I was so surprised how much I loved it, It really does taste like a banana nut muffin - with NO weird aftertaste or smell. No complaints - five full stars! I would totally buy this again!

  • Jasmine Phoenix Pearls

    

I don't normally choose flowery teas, but this one is wonderful - it was a pleasant surprise for me! The floral flavor isn't too perfumy or bitter. It kind of has a sweet taste to it - it's hard to describe. And for a green tea, it wasn't bitter or biting! I'm so glad I got to try this one!

  • Chocolate Chai Pu Erh

    

I don't like chai, but I do like chocolate flavored tea. This wasn't a good blend though. And the "dirtiness" of the Pu-Erh didn't make it any better. That along with the yucky sweetness of the cinnamon made this a no go for me. :(

  • Lemongrass

    

Lemongrass isn't my thing - I really prefer real lemon/lemon flavor. It's not the worst, but I feel that this herb is included in so many teas to give it a lemony flavor that it gives things a very "generic herbal" taste.

  • Chili Lime Green

    

I really did like this tea! It has nice coconut and lime flavors with an almost creamy undertone. The spiciness in and of itself doesn't bother me. It has a nice kick but isn't too spicy for my tongue . I just think the tea would taste better without the chili - the flavor would be perfect in my opinion. It's not bad, but I probably wouldn't choose it again.

  • Sleeping Dragon

    

I used to think I liked green tea , but most of the greens I have tried lately (especially from Adagio) have just not been my thing. I really do try not to oversteep, but this turned out bitter anyway. It did have a spinach sort of taste at the beginning that went away and just became a bitter green tea. It's hard to describe. I wouldn't be able to tell you if it was grassy, vegetal, or buttery. I didn't enjoy it overall. The one positive thing I've noticed with the Adagio greens is that I can get a solid three steeps out of them, and they seem to get a little better each time.

  • Peach Bellini

    

This is a light tea, but it's very tasty! It has a wonderful sweet taste, and no unpleasant aftertaste. My kids enjoyed this one too. It seems little better cold/iced, but it good either way. I just have to use less water or more tea to make it strong enough.

  • Jasmine Chun Hao

    

I actually don't mind jasmine green tea normally, but this tea is very overpoweringly floral. And that wouldn't have been a dealbreaker except for the fact that this particular aroma/flavor reminds me of a shoe store - rubber or chemicals or something. I also always forget how sensitive Adagio greens are to oversteeping, so this ended up very bitter. The second steep was better but didn't improve the flavor.

  • White Peach

    

This is a wonderful tea. I've been disappointed with almost every white tea I have tried lately- from Adagio and elsewhere. And peach isn't even my favorite flavor. But this tea is great. It's not too weak. Has a nice flavor. I probably wouldn't rush to buy a whole bag, but I would not turn down a cup. I liked it a lot!

  • Forest Berries

    

Yes! I have finally found my go-to berry tea from Adagio! I have tried the blueberry and the blackberry and have been sort of disappointed in how artificial they taste, and those are normally my very favorite flavors. This tea is perfect - it has an AMAZING berry flavor that is not as artificial as the others. It's still slightly artificial tasting, but not cough syrup level artificial. I will definitely be buying more of this!

  • Cha Cha

    

I'm not really a fan of herbals, especially when they contain mint. I do love chamomile, but I'm not sure why tea blenders always feel the need to add in mint. This tea is reminiscent of Sleepytime, and the mint is very overpowering - giving my tongue that "cool" feeling. People who love mint will probably like this tea, but it isn't for me.

  • Libra

    

This tea looks and smells totally amazing, and I was thrilled to get a sample of it with an order. I love all the ingredients, so I was sure this was going to be an addictive tea. However, strangely the ingredients all blend together in such a complete way that it doesn't really taste like much of anything to me. I don't get any berry flavor or cream flavor. I really don't even get any chocolate flavor. It tasted like basic black tea to me overall. But that being said, I adore Ceylon, so it's not a bad tea. Just not as good as I was hoping. I probably would not buy more of this, but I certainly wouldn't turn a cup down!

  • Valentines

    

This tea sounds really wonderful when you look at the ingredients - who couldn't love chocolate dipped strawberries? I have discovered unfortunately that rose petals in my tea are NOT my thing. They give the tea a really gross taste to me. Thankfully they are reasonably mild in this tea, but I can still taste them. I also can't really taste the strawberry flavor. I guess it's a very mellow flavor, easily overpowered by the chocolate. I am certainly enjoying my bag, but I'm not sure I will buy this again. I will probably just blend my own chocolate and strawberry teas together so I don't have to deal with the rose petals.

  • Chocolate

    

This is a staple in my tea cabinet. It's really good on its own, but it shines in blends too! I love it mixed with lots of different things. The flavor is reasonably subtle but wonderful. It's not like drinking hot chocolate or anything, it just gives the tea a hint of chocolatey goodness. I have been very pleased with it! My husband and kids didn't like it, and I could see how people might think it tastes a bit artificial, but I really genuinely love it and will buy more once I run out!

  • Coconut

    

I bought this to blend with other things, but Itried it on its own first to give it a fair review, and I am very impressed! It has a nice creamy flavor that isn't too artificial to me. I really don't have anything negative to say about it. It's a wonderful addition to my tea cabinet. Can't wait to try it with chocolate and almond for an "Almond Joy" blend <3

  • Butterscotch

    

This is one of the very best single-flavor teas I have had from Adagio -- in fact, from any company! It's wonderful on its own. It has a great caramelly flavor that is way more robust than the caramel-flavored tea. I am sure it will be excellent in blends as well. Great hot or cold!

  • Fujian Orchid

    

I'm a little surprised at how much I love this tea. It's not complicated/exciting with all kinds of flavors, but it's really an amazing tea anyway. It has the perfect body and is just the right amount of floral. It tastes like a green tea to me. The whole family liked it, which is saying something!

  • Ceylon Sonata

    

This is a very plain, basic black tea with no bells and whistles, but it's great nevertheless. It's essentially the base for all my favorite flavored black teas, and it's good on its own! This doesn't taste too much like the Lipton orange pekoe. It seems to have more depth, and it's less "bright" if that makes sense. It's pretty hearty and bold, kind of tastes malty/like raisins a bit. A great tea!

  • Rooibos

    

Rooibos is literally stomach-turning for me in both smell and taste. I got a packet in my CommuniTEA box and would not have finished the cup, except my kids happen to like it (for some reason.) The aroma is difficult to describe, but in general it's sort of a sweet rancid smell.

  • Sencha Overture

    

This tea is, to me, just a very basic and plain green tea. It's not overly grassy, and it does not have that spinach taste. It's nothing terribly special. I was able to get three decent steeps out of it.

  • Blackberry

    

Blackberry is one of my favorite flavors, so I was very eager to try this. I bought it to drink on its own and mix with other things.

Unfortunately, like the blueberry tea, this tastes and smells very artificial. I will continue to drink it but probably will not buy another bag.

  • Campfire S'Mores

    

This tea tastes very smoky, which isn't terrible in and of itself. But I unfortunately don't taste any chocolate or marshmallows. It's not an unpleasant tea, but it's just not that good. I wouldn't choose to drink it again.

  • Caramel

    

I really like this tea! I drank it on its own to give it a fair review, but I plan to use it mostly for my own blends. It is so interesting and is actually more complex of a flavor than I anticipated. It almost tastes like raisins to me, which isn't unpleasant (and I don't particularly care for raisins.) I probably would not choose to drink it on its own often, but I can't wait to blend it with other things!

  • Tiger Eye

    

This tea is a hidden gem! I LOVE the combination of chocolate, vanilla, and caramel! It's simply wonderful. I have the different tea flavors in separate bags already, but I would consider buying this anyway since the particular blend is so delicious. Each flavor is present and none of the flavors overpower the others. I have nothing negative to say about this tea - I love it! It's one I could probably drink every day.

  • Cream Tea

    

I bought this mostly to blend with other things, but it's very good on its own too! When hot, the cream flavor is a little more subtle, but as it cools down, it becomes more noticeable. It seems pretty natural tasting too - not very artificial.

This tea shines in blends though! It adds just a small bit of creaminess to whatever tea you mix it with without overpowering the other flavors. I like it with any of the berry teas - especially cherry.

  • Cherry

    

I didn't expect to like this tea as much as I do. The leaves definitely have a slight cough-syrup/almond extract smell, but the brewed tea actually does not taste as artificial to me as most cherry flavored things do! It's very pleasant! And much better than the blueberry tea, which was surprising to me since I usually prefer blueberry. I drank this on its own to give it a fair review, but I have also mixed it with the chocolate tea, and that is to DIE for - reminds me of cherry coke!

I am super excited to have this for my blends. I can't wait to try it with cream and some of the others I have!

  • Milk Oolong

    

This tea tastes fine but isn't anything particularly remarkable. I was expecting it to be more creamy I suppose. The leaves are pretty rolled up in little balls, and it is fun to watch them unfurl in the hot water. The brewed tea is sort of weak and doesn't have a strong flavor either. The kids liked it - probably because it was so mild - so that was good!

  • Yunnan Jig

    

I can't think of any reason this tea doesn't deserve five stars! It's a wonderful solid black tea. I do usually prefer flavored blacks, but this tea is very good, very tasty. It honestly reminds me of basic orange pekoe - my tastes are apparently not refined enough to pick up on the "black pepper" and other flavors. I really enjoyed this, and my kids did too! A major win!

  • Mandarin Green

This green tea is really wonderful and refreshing! The leaves smell subtly fruity, and the brewed tea tastes a bit like candy to me - a mix of bubble gum and Smarties. The flavor is a tad artificial for my taste, but I still really enjoyed it! It's light and not too bitter. A great overall green tea that I could have more than occasionally.

  • Pu-erh Hazelberry

    

This tea is wonderful, though I do have to use a little more tea/increase steeping time to get the flavor I want as Pu-Erh tends to be too light for my taste. The hazelnut is very prominent, more so than the berry, which I can taste hardly any of. If I wanted to increase the berry flavor, I might mix this into a blend with some of my berry black teas. It has that earthy/"dirty" Pu-Erh flavor that's so unique. I really love it!

  • Blueberry

    

I made this hot and iced to give it a fair review. I like it better as an iced tea - it's a really wonderful everyday iced tea that has just the right amount of fruitiness. I'm giving it four stars because it does taste and smell somewhat artificial to me (it has a sort of cough-syrup flavor to me). It's not as bad as some berry teas, but it's not as natural tasting as I would like. I plan to mix this into blends with other teas like cream, vanilla, raspberry, etc. I'm excited to experiment with it a little!

  • Blackberry Sage Oolong

    

Love this tea SO much! Blackberry is one of my favorite flavors anyway, but the sage adds an unexpected and wonderful refreshing flavor. The dry leaves smell heavenly and herbally, and it seems like the brewed tea has equal proportions of berry and sage - one doesn't overpower the other. I was able to get two solid steeps out of this - I did one hot and one cold, and they were both wonderful. Oolong is more delicate than Ceylon, but I think that's perfect for this particular flavor of tea.

  • Decaf Spice

    

This is a pretty good tea if you are in the mood for something Christmasy or spiced. The smell of the dry leaves makes me think of a cinnamon apple candle. The tea itself tastes good, and it is a lot fuller/hardier than a lot of decaf teas I have had. It ended up being a little bitter, so if you don't like the bitterness you might cut the steeping time by just a little. Overall, not bad but not one I would go out of my way to brew frequently. The kids really liked this one though!

  • Rooibos Vanilla Chai

    

The two types of tea I can't stand are rooibos and chai, so when I opened this for the CommuniTEA, it was disappointing. That being said, it wasn't as stomach turning as some rooibos or chais I have had. The rooibos, which gives it a slightly "gone bad" taste to me, was pretty mild, and the chai was definitely more prominent, making this a very spicy tea. It seems like it would be a good holiday tea for people who like chai and rooibos.

  • Dragonwell

    

This is a good, basic green tea. I can see how people would say it tastes "buttery." There is a whole world of green tea terminology that I am just starting to learn. I guess this one is also considered "vegetal." I'm sort of undecided as to whether I really like that. This doesn't taste spinachy like some of the other greens I have tried lately (YAY! Hate that spinach-green tea!) I did oversteep this accidentally, so it turned out bitter. It's not bad, but I prefer flavored greens better. I like it better than the genmai cha, but I wouldn't choose it again probably. It did well on the second steep - I actually kind of liked the second steep better.

  • Assam Melody

    

I liked this more than I expected to as a person who gravitates toward fruity or dessert-flavored teas. I thought it would be kind of a boring unflavored black tea, but the molasses flavor came through, and it tastes pleasantly malty. It's really not bad! I wouldn't choose it every single day, but it's a good tea.

  • Matcha Blueberry

    

This matcha is good as a regular matcha - grassy and slightly "fishy" like most matchas I have tried. The powder does smell like blueberry, but the brewed tea has no trace of blueberry flavor. I will probably just order regular matcha next time so I am not disappointed by the lack of flavor. But it's a solid matcha, very healthy.

  • Matcha Raspberry

    

This tastes like most matchas I have had - grassy and slightly "fishy" (not in a terribly unpleasant way). In the container, it smells like raspberry, but there is no raspberry flavor present in the brewed tea, which was disappointing. I feel like I might as well just order unflavored matcha next time so as not to be disappointed by the lack of flavor. It is good as a regular matcha though, and it's very healthy.

  • White Blueberry

    

This tea isn't bad at all, though I tend to find white teas too weak to my liking. The leaves smell fruity and wonderful - however, the brewed tea has absolutely no trace of blueberry flavor, either hot or iced. It's really very floral. It's a solid white tea, but I would not buy this if I was expecting any blueberry flavor at all.

  • Summer Night

    

I really just don't prefer herbals is what it comes down to! The smell of this dry tea is nice - it smells like cream soda, which I like. The brewed tea doesn't taste bad, but it's not a favorite. I was worried the mint would be strong based on other reviews, but I could hardly taste it at all. It's pretty fruity without being too tart, and the cream is a nice addition. It mostly just seems very weak to me, even after steeping longer than normal. It might be good cold. I probably wouldn't buy more of this except to maybe have on hand for the kids because they seemed to really like it.

  • Pu-erh Tahiti

    

This tea is delicious! One of my favorites I have tried from Adagio! The coconut and fruit flavors blend together well, and the taste, smell, and look of the tea is just perfect. I haven't had a lot of Pu-erh tea - this had sort of an earthy (dare I say "dirty") taste to it, which I didn't find entirely unpleasant. I don't normally go for coconut teas, so maybe having something so different was what made this pleasant. I drank this hot, but I would love to experience it iced as well. I could see myself drinking this often!

  • Raspberry

    

I'm so glad I got to try this tea in my CommuniTEA packet today! Raspberry is one of my favorite flavors, and black is my favorite variety of tea. This does smell slightly cough-syrupy when dry, but when brewed it smells a lot more natural. The raspberry flavor is light and subtle when you drink it hot. My packet disappeared too fast for me to try it iced, but I am confident it would be delicious, and I will definitely be getting the 3 oz. bag. This is one I would choose often - it's a great solid black tea.

  • Decaf Peach

    

I enjoyed this tea! It's got a mild/not too artificial tasting peach flavor. (And I'm not normally a peach tea lover - I just like other flavors better.) I would certainly consider buying this again if I had to go full decaf. It's good hot or cold!

  • Silver Sprout

    

Normally I really enjoy green teas - they are pleasant and grassy - but this tea is like drinking very bitter spinach water to me. I don't really mind bitter teas most of the time (I kind of prefer them to be a little bitter actually) but this one seems excessively bitter. I'm not picking up any pleasant smoky, floral, or buttery flavors like others are describing.

  • Elderberry Wine

    

This tea isn't unpleasant at all, but I'm not really getting a lot of flavors coming through. It mostly just tastes tart (like most fruit herbal teas do) and this reminds me why I rarely drink herbal teas - it's just missing that certain something that regular tea has. I was able to balance it out with a little honey, and I enjoyed that. This isn't one I would choose very often, though it might be nice to actually mix it with a real tea of some sort. The color of the tea is beautiful though - very pleasing to the eye!

  • English Breakfast

    

This tea smells like roses! The flavor is pretty unique -- floral and malty at the same time if that makes sense. I wouldn't find myself craving this (especially not as much as an Earl Grey tea, which I love) but I could drink this more than occasionally!

I don't think I have ever had the opportunity to drink a nice loose-leaf English Breakfast. I've always had the cheap version in the bags. I really did enjoy this one overall!

  • Rooibos Earl Grey

    

I really strongly dislike rooibos, so that put this tea at a disadvantage right away. On the other hand, Earl Grey is one of my favorite types of tea. The rooibos and bergamot flavors actually seemed pretty balanced - I was able to pick up both without either being overpowering. But I definitely prefer the black version of Earl Grey and would not choose this again. My kids liked it though!

  • Golden Turmeric Chai

    

I don't really like chai, but I do like turmeric tea, and this isn't bad at all! The chai spices are a mellow complement, so neither is overpowering. The cinnamon and spices don't smack you in the face like with some chais, and the turmeric is just right. Lovely color, lovely smell. I wouldn't choose this every day, but this is a nice tea.. It makes me feel very healthy to drink it :).

  • Raja Oolong Chai

    

I'll start by saying that I really just don't like chai, so that put this tea at a disadvantage right away. It smells pretty good - very heavy on the cinnamon - and it mostly just tastes like you dumped a whole bunch of cinnamon into hot water. It hardly even tasted like tea. It has a strange sweet taste to it. It's not the worst tea I have had, but I wouldn't choose it again,

  • Honeybush Mango

    

This tea was meh. It was kind of watery and unmemorable (and I didn't taste any mango actually) even though I tried to be careful to brew it with the right amount of water. This was from the CommuniTEA box and was my first time trying honeybush. I was not impressed, and I also saw that honeybush is related to red rooibos, which just tastes so awful to me. Thankfully the rooibos flavor was very mild in this, but there was another smell that I can't quite identify that was not pleasant to me. The kids liked this one, but I did not.

  • Spiced Green

    

Other reviewers have already said it, but this tea is legitimately like Christmas in a cup - in taste and smell! I have never had a spiced green before, and I was pleasantly surprised (as I really don't tend to choose spiced teas at all). I didn't find the cinnamon and other spices overwhelming at all, and in fact the bright, lovely green tea flavor came through strong and clear, making for a really delightful and balanced cup of tea. I would possibly consider buying this again for the wintertime.

  • Genmai Cha

    

I got to try this through the Adagio CommuniTEA program, and I even though I'm giving it a low rating, I'm glad I got to try it. I usually choose/prefer fruity teas so this was a complete departure. It smells like a bag of puffed rice cereal (not particularly appetizing) but it does taste slightly better than it smells. It really just reminds me of eating sushi while drinking green tea - not totally an unpleasant feeling. The kids and my husband didn't like it at all. I wouldn't buy this again, but I'm glad to have had the experience.

  • Gingerbread

    

I love black teas, but I am not a super huge fan of gingerbread cookies in general. This tea smells and tastes really wonderful though! On first taste, it's mostly a very light ginger flavor and a nice solid black tea taste, which I am good with! But then you get this perfect aftertaste of gingerbread cookie - literally like you just took a bite of one. It's understated, but I think that's perfect since gingerbread can be an overwhelming flavor if overdone. I probably wouldn't buy more of this simply because I don't really crave gingerbread, but it's a very pleasant tea that I enjoyed a lot.

  • Pumpkin Spice

    

Although this isn't a tea I would necessarily drink every single day, I really like it - I got it in my Adagio Tea Club shipment along with the Candy Cane tea. The main thing I love about it is that it doesn't try to go the chai route (chai kind of turns my stomach). It also doesn't have too much of a "pumpkin" flavor, which can sometimes taste odd. It's just a solid black tea with a delightful blend of spices you might use with a pumpkin pie. It has great depth and is very pleasant, especially for the fall!
