I like to try lots of different teas, but black teas are still my favorite. Most of my life, my mom has only drank black tea, so it is kind of a comfort 'food' for me.

  • Royale Ceylon Black Tea

The lightest of the 3 teas in my Plum Deluxe Royale taste test. I can definitely see why Ceylon is often used in flavored tea blends. I would say it has light citrus notes.

  • Royale Darjeeling Black tea

    

I am doing a Plum Deluxe Royale teas taste test! They are all nice black teas. I am getting a bit of malty-ness in the Darjeeling, which I wasn’t expecting. I would say the Darjeeling has a woody-malt flavor, while the Assam has an earthy-malt flavor.

  • Royale Assam Black Tea

Hmmm. I’m having a hard time between the Assam and the Darjeeling in my taste test. They are both malty. I guess the Assam is a little earthier, while the Darjeeling is a little woodier.

  • Snowbud

I’m still sad that Adagio has discontinued this tea. It was a nice light tea, but great for the afternoon.

  • Summer Rose

    

I love rose in tea, so I think this tea is great!!

  • Mandarin Green

    

A light bodied green tea. I wouldn’t mind a little more Mandarin flavor. I am looking for a strong orange flavor to replace the honeybush orange that adagio discontinued.

  • Delightful Morning Blend

    

I really have to be in the mood for most earl grey teas. Maybe I just wasn’t feeling it when I drank this one. The lavender is pretty strong in it, too.

  • Decaf Black Toasted Marshmallow Blend Tea

    

This tea is amazing!!!! One of my favorite PD teas. I wish it were part of their permanent collection.

  • Brunch in Paris Black Tea Blend (chocolate/orange)

    

I find that the chocolate overpowers the orange in this tea, and I really like orange teas. (Also, Tea Critic has this listed as an herbal tea. It is not an herbal tea).

  • Gratitude Blend (Strawberry Earl Grey)

I love berry earl grey teas! This one is great! Always a good one to have on hand when an inexperienced tea drinker visits.

  • Victorian Garden Grey Black Tea (Earl Grey / Berri

    

A fantastic blend of bergamot, flowers and berries! I stocked up on this one!!

  • Pomegranate Green

    

This tea has a great balance between the fruit (pomegranate and raspberry) and the green tea. A great afternoon tea!!

  • Blackberry

    

This tea definitely has a tartness to it. I highly recommend adding a sweetener to balance out the tartness.

  • Hibiscus Black

    

The black tea and hibiscus blend together perfectly to make a jammy-flavored black tea!

  • Peach Tea

    

Not a bad peach tea, but if you want a stronger peach flavor, I recommend Adagio’s Peach Oolong tea.

  • Violet Black Tea

    

One of my favorite teas!! The Violet flavoring is a bit floral and slightly fruity. I love violet-flavored things!!

  • Decaf Orange

    

The orange flavor isn’t very pronounced, but it is a nice citrus addition to the decaf teas that adagio has. Adding a little honey helps bring out the orange flavor a little more.

  • Bonfire

    

The smoky-ness of the lapsang souchong overpowers everything else in this blend. I do get a hint of the aniseed, so to me, it is a smoky anise tea.

  • Jasmine Silver Needle

    

I love jasmine silver needle teas because the white tea doesn’t overpower the jasmine like some green teas (that are often paired with jasmine) do. Adagio’s jasmine silver needle is great!!

  • Brigadoon Breakfast

    

A smooth black tea, unless you steep it too strong, then it hurts my stomach. That is ok though, using exactly the suggested amount of leaves (or less) just makes the tea last longer!

  • Honeybush Banana Nut

    

A great tea from adagio! I like that you can taste both the banana and the honeybush. A great tea to keep on hand for drinking in the evening!

  • Honeybush Orange

    

I think this is adagio’s best orange tea. The orange flavor is strong, and this tea is great for using in blends.

  • Honeybush Vanilla

    

I love vanilla, and this one is nice for an herbal tea because the honeybush doesn’t compete with the vanilla flavor as much as the rooibos does in Adagio’s rooibos vanilla tea. (The rooibos vanilla is a nice tea too, though).

  • HOLIDAY TEA

    

While nothing extraordinary, this is still a nice tea. The spice in the tea is very mild, which I like.

  • Easy Like Sunday Morning

    

Chocolate and lavender are lovely together in this tea. I usually drink it in the evening though. I need caffeine on Sunday morning!

  • Strawberry Rhubarb Oolong

    

This blend is great hot or iced. I really like flavored oolongs. Unfortunately, this blend is only available in the summer, so I like to stock up.

  • Grapefruit Oolong

    

This is one of my favorite teas. Just smelling it makes me happy. It reminds me of sunshine!!

  • Pomegranate Grove

    

I’m not really into this tea, mostly because it reminds me of the hand soap in Target’s restroom.

  • Cinnamon

    

This tea has a mild cinnamon flavor, as opposed to adagio’s fiery cinnamon spice, which has a strong, hot cinnamon flavor. This tea is almost sweet on its own.
